📍 Hacker UXLINK falls for phishing: Thief meets old lady 📌 On the night of September 22, UXLINK was exploited. The hacker took control of the multisig admin through delegateCall, added a new wallet using addOwnerWithThreshold, and then withdrew assets from the treasury. Initial estimated damage: $11.3M, including 4M USDT, 500k USDC, 3.7 WBTC, 25 ETH. 📌 After that, the hacker quickly swapped and bridged: USDT/USDC was exchanged for DAI, on Arbitrum the USDT was swapped for ETH and then bridged back to Ethereum. Not stopping there, the hacker also minted an additional 2B UXLINK tokens and dumped them directly on DEX at a price drop of over 90% in just 24 hours. 📌 In total, the hacker received about ~490M UXLINK, minted an additional 2B tokens, sold through multiple wallets, and collected around 6,732 ETH (~$28M). But this very hacker soon fell victim to a phishing scam, losing a total of 542M UXLINK (~$15M). Truly, a thief meets an old lady.
